About Asbestos Training Providers
ATP is a newly established organisation, formed from a nucleus of senior professionals from the UKAS accredited asbestos laboratory and consulting industry.
The ATP instructors are a group of mature, knowledgeable, and experienced individuals, based in the northern home counties. All members of the team are BOHS Certified Competent Persons (asbestos), with nearly 60 years combined practical experience in the asbestos lab/consulting industry.
Individually, the trainers have been presenting Asbestos Awareness training courses for between five and fifteen years.
Philosophy
It is the intention of ATP to be the best at what we do. It is not uncommon for people attend courses simply because they ‘need the piece of paper’. We, however, take our role very seriously. Asbestos can be deadly and we need to make people understand.
With the best will in the world, spending a half day or full day being educated on the subject of asbestos falls short of being a prospect that most people look forward to with eager anticipation.
At ATP, we are dedicated to ensuring that attendees on our courses develop a good understanding of the subject, a balanced view of the associated hazards and risks and a proactive approach to dealing with asbestos on site, on-going management and, in worse case scenarios, to dealing with emergency situations.
We use every means at our disposal, such as video footage, photographs, physical samples, humour, warnings and anecdotes, to ensure that our courses are interesting, informative and, above all, memorable.
